Are you looking for a loyal companion? Meet Winnie, a Basset Hound/Shar Pei who is 6 ½ years old, who is looking for a new FurEver home. Winnie is a bit of a unique case…

About Winnie:

-Temperament: Goofy & calm, sometimes afraid of her own shadow.  Is happy to spend her time on the couch most days.  Perfect for individuals who love to watch movies with a dog at their side.

-Health: Up-to-date on vaccinations and registration, spayed, recently had a dental, but is on some maintenance medications (Proin 75mg, Incurin & Zymox Otic).  I would be happy to go over the uses of these meds for anyone with questions.

-Training: House trained, leash trained, dog door trained, crate trained, dog run trained, knows basic commands and is very food motivated

-Energy level: Calm, enjoys recharging laying in the sun, chases lizards & house flies. Has Vulcan hearing and when she gets excited her “Basset Bay” comes out

-Good with: Male dogs, adults and most children

Why we are rehoming:

Due to a change in tolerance for our other female dog, we can no longer have both in the home.  Our male dog loves both females, but is more attached to our other female, unfortunately leaving us in a position of needing to “play favorites”.  We are hoping to find her a loving home where she won’t have to feel that stress. 

Winnie is about 55lbs and has the Basset low rider body style.  The ideal home would have no other female dogs or cats. 

We would include all medications we already have for her and her crate (if you desire).  I will happily provide vet records as well; she has seen the same vet since she was 6 months old.
